Model Society Assam was established in the year 2000. The NGO is situated in Silchar District Cachar Assam. Its main operational area is Assam and North Eastern States of India. The society was established for the social welfare and development of the peoples. Model Society promotes and develops local culture, organise welfare samity for men, women and also for weaker section of the society.  Our Society also actively promote awareness programmes regarding plantation among people of state. The  Model Society also published "The Witness" and " Prohoree" news letters. The organisation is committed to protect our village & society from antisocial elements through Village Defense Organisation, Assam and to bring forward through fair cogitation and human values in a state of insecurity, terrorism, restlessness and corruption, when our society is  affected by individualism, materialism, avidity for  wealth and social decodance.
